Well, if you used our lineup last week, you were likely in the money. We finished in the top 3.6% of our big tourney. If we had different WRs than Stefon Diggs and Robert Woods we would have done even better. James White and the Brown pair of Mayfield and Landry were all solid, as well as the Colts D. Let’s try and win some money again.
Wide Receiver: We’re going to start this out with an easy one. Tampa Bay is dead last against the pass and Tyler Boyd has been a target monster this season. And at just $6,800, he represents a ton of value. People may be down on him after a poor showing against the Chiefs, but that game was a mess from the opening snap. Expect the Bengals to get back on track against Tampa, especially in the passing game.
Running Back: The Chiefs can’t stop anyone on the ground and it looks like Royce Freeman will – at best – be limited on Sunday. That means Philip Lindsay ($6,500) is a big-time value. He had a solid game last week and could prove critical in the Broncos’ offense keeping Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense off the field. Plus, he has crazy hair.
Defense: Always looking for value here at the DEF spot. Really like the Steelers this week. Browns QB Baker Mayfield will throw picks and will get sacked. At $3,800, we are definitely buying.
Tight End: After three big-time values, we are in a position to spend a little here. Travis Kelce ($7,300) is pricey, but likely worth every penny. The Broncos aren’t great against TEs, and Kelce had a strong effort in Denver earlier this year.
QB/WR/WR: Going to go to the triple-stack here. The Oakland Raiders have all but given up but should put up enough of a fight to make Andrew Luck ($8,300), T.Y. Hilton ($7,400) and Chester Rogers ($5,600)awesome plays. These are the kinds of decisions you need to make to win tournies. And with the nice value of Rogers, we still have $7,150 per position, with two spots left.
Running Back: The Cards have changed things up, going with Byron Leftwich at offensive coordinator. The thinking is that Leftwich will get David Johnson more involved in the offense. This is a solid time to grab him, as the Niners aren’t great against the run, and Johnson will be active in the passing game too. At $7,300 he’s a little more than we’d like to pay, but will roll the dice here.
Flex: Got $7k to spend, let’s see what’s out there. Names like Adrian Peterson, Kerryon Johnson and Jarvis Landry are at the top of this tier. We’ll plug Landry ($6,700) in. He should continue to see a steady stream of targets from Baker Mayfield, in what should be a higher-scoring game featuring a ton of passing.
Final Roster:
QB – Luck ($8,300)
RB – Lindsay ($6,500)
RB – David Johnson ($7,300)
WR – Boyd ($6,800)
WR – Hilton ($7,400)
WR – Rogers ($5,600)
TE – Kelce ($7,300)
Flex – Landry ($6,700)
DEF – Steelers ($3,800)
