Hello Who2Start’ers! If you went with our Week 2 lineup, you probably finished JUST outside the money. We were close in our contest. A couple hits, but too many misses. Let’s see if we can put together a winning lineup here this week. We will again enter a large tourney.

Running Back: Sure looks like the Eagles will roll with Corey Clement ($5,800) this week. The Colts’ D can’t fight their way out of a wet paper bag so we’re expecting Clement to have a big afternoon, especially with the Eagles easing Carson Wentz back into the fold. The Colts have given up the 5th-most fantasy points to RBs, so Clement is a solid first pick.

Wide Receiver: With a value pick in play at RB, we can hit a more expensive WR that should have a huge game. The KC offense is humming along and Hill is almost a sure thing. Tyreek Hill ($8,200) is expensive but likely worth it.
Quarterback: We’ve gone with value and then a Cadillac, so we now need to seek another value play. Easy to do at QB. We are going to take a stab at Joe Flacco ($6,700) here. He’s averaging nearly 21 fantasy points in FanDuel scoring, and the Broncos have surrendered at least 280 passing yards in each of the first two games. Flacco is cheap and should be good for 275 yards and 2 scores.

Defense: Before filling out the rest of the skill positions, let’s try to find value at DEF. The Bears ($4,300) are reasonably priced, especially considering they’re averaging 15.5 fantasy points and are facing a Cardinal team that has been downright terrible. On to the next.

Tight End: We are going with the numbers here. The Chiefs have given up the 3rd-most fantasy points to TEs and Niner TE George Kittle ($5,800) should see a ton of targets. He hasn’t been great to start the season but we’re projecting for a breakout game here. We will roll the dice, especially considering he’s fairly cheap.
Wide Receiver: Need a value wideout here. While we don’t necessarily trust Blake Bortles, we figure that his #1 WR – who looks to be Keelan Cole ($6,400) – will have a solid outing come Sunday. The Titans have allowed the 3rd-most fantasy points to WRs. This is good news. Cole could have a huge game, especially if Bortles keeps up what he was doing last Week.

Flex: OK, time to put all skill position players in a hat and pull out a guy we think will have a big game, but give us some “value” too. The Raiders have given up 100+ yard efforts to RBs in their first two games, so Kenyan Drake ($6,800) looks like a solid play. Yes the Dolphins are giving carries to Frank Gore, but this could be a huge game for Drake. We are hoping the Dolphins give him the majority of the work.

Wide Receiver: We have $16K to spend on two more players, so we are splurging here at WR. Michael Thomas ($9,000) is off to a record-setting pace and we love his matchup against a depleted Falcon defense. More of the same, please, Mike!
Running Back: We have enough left in the bank to grab one of our top RBs of the week, Dalvin Cook ($6,500). He should absolutely destroy this Bills defense, which has given up the 2nd-most fantasy points to RBs.

FINAL ROSTER:

  • QB – Flacco ($6,700)
  • RB1 – Cook ($6,500)
  • RB2 – Clement ($5,800)
  • WR1 – Thomas ($9,000)
  • WR2 – Hill ($8,200)
  • WR3 – Cole ($6,400)
  • TE – Kittle ($5,800)
  • FLEX – Drake ($6,800)
  • DEF – Bears ($4,300)

UPDATE: Dalvin Cook has been ruled out so we flipped his backup, Latavius Murray, in for him. He should have success against the Bills D at home.
