NFL Daily Fantasy Sports Lineup – Week 6

Pass Happy/Run Happy – Week 6
October 11, 2018
4 Star Free Agents – Week 7
October 16, 2018

Had some hits (Bortles, Ertz, Mixon) but too many misses (Julio, Lynch) to qualify for a prize last week.  Let’s try and right the ship here this week.  Some real values to be had.  Let’s see how we went after this week’s lineup.

Running Back:  Don’t want to overspend here, as the high end guys are looking good but not good enough to merit their prices.  We are going to plug Chris Carson ($6,400) in.  He’s in a split backfield, but thinking he gets the majority of the carries against an Oakland team that gives us a decent amount of fantasy points to RBs.

Wide Receiver:  Gonna splurge here.  Julio Jones ($8,500) can’t have two bad games in a row, and the Bucs give up the second-most fantasy points to WRs.  Something has to give here, and we are betting that Jones has a huge game.

Quarterback:  Planning on finding value later, so we are going to overspend at QB too.  Matt Ryan ($8,300) is facing a Bucs team that gives up the most fantasy points to QBs.  He may approach 400 yards in this one.  3 scores is probably a given.

Defense:  The Jets ($4,200) are averaging over 10 fantasy points in FanDuel scoring and the Colts give up a decent amount of fantasy points to team defenses.  Defenses are a crapshoot anyways.

Tight End:  Going to roll the dice here, and it may be that we make a late switch.  Right now O.J. Howard is supposedly going to play, but is only 2 weeks removed from a sprained knee.  That said, Cameron Brate ($4,500) represents a huge value.  Jameis Winston absolutely loves throwing to his tight ends and the Atlanta secondary is completely decimated.  We’ll check this tomorrow, or maybe even before kickoff.

Wide Receiver:  Going to look to a game that could have some decent amount of points, and with Marcus Peters shadowing Emmanuel Sanders, we think that Demaryius Thomas ($6,500) could put up some numbers.

Running Back:  Devonta Freeman has been ruled out, so Tevin Coleman ($6,300) will get a full workload against the Bucs.  The Bucs are going to commit everything they have to stopping the Falcons’ pass game, so thinking Coleman is a sleeper here this week.  He’s not going to get a lot of usage this week, so in tournament play he represents a solid pivot away from the norm.

Wide Receiver:  Adam Thielen has been en fuego, but running mate Stefon Diggs ($8,200) has performed admirably too.  Thinking Patrick Peterson shadows Thielen, leaving Diggs to “get his” this week.  Have plenty left in the coffers to grab a top WR and still have enough to get a solid flex.

Flex:  We may need to adjust this if we have to go in a different direction at TE, but for now, we have enough for T.J. Yeldon ($7,100), who will have a full workload against Dallas.  The Cowboys have actually been OK against the run, but will again be without Sean Lee and we expect the Jags to pound the ball.

Final Roster:

QB – Ryan ($8,300)

RB – Carson ($6,400)

RB – Coleman ($6,300)

WR – Jones ($8,500)

WR – Diggs ($8,200)

TE – Brate ($4,500)

Flex – Yeldon ($7,100)
